Issue Trying To Tether

Hi there,

I'm trying to tether my Hero to my new Dell Inspiron Netbook and having a couple of issues.

I've successfully got it connected via a USB cable using a piece of software called Pdanet (which seems good), however I have bluetooth so wanted to try and tether it that way to remove the cables.

However, when I go into the bluetooth settings to add a new device, it finds the phone fine and attempts to pair with it, but then prompts me with a code on my my Netbook and phone, which are different every time.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or is this working as intended and I'm not supposed to be tethering to my Hero via Bluetooth.

P.S. It's a Hero on Orange running 2.1 and it's not been rooted.

I've never heard of teathering by bluetooh.

USB cable and Wireless (a.k.a. turning the phone into a WiFi hotspot), but not bluetooth.

wireless tether for root users on the market does bluetooth, and enter the code shown on the netbook into the hero when asked for it
