If the Nexus Two is true does that mean no Gingerbread for the Nexus One?

EDIT: Probably would be better in updates and cupcakes, or android lounge?

Since we haven't heard about anyone at Google getting a Nexus Two (like we did for the Nexus One), I would doubt they are doing much development with a Nexus Two. So I think we are all still safe for 2.3 coming to the Nexus One first (worst case second to give whatever the new Google experience phone the spotlight). After 2.3 though I begin to worry that the Nexus isn't going to be the golden child it has been to this point. I could easily see 3.0 coming to us early, but maybe not before any other phone.
