I ordered the Champagne 64GB on Dec. 18th (Amazon had just opened up another round of pre-orders). I received the same email that many got on Dec. 20th showing the dates you indicate. I chatted with a CSR on Monday, who said that they are receiving shipments and filling orders as fast as they can. My guess: this date gives Amazon some leeway in case ASUS can't get their house in order over the next couple of weeks. But, that's pure speculation.

I pre-ordered on the 19th and all my order status says is it will be delivered AFTER the 25th. I'm calling both Amazon and Expansys (I have an order with them as well) tomorrow to get more information. Did you order a 32g or a 64g. I think the 64g's are harder to come by right now.
