Help Keeps asking to configure wifi hotspot

I have a new S3 and any time it sees a new wifi signal it asks if I want to configure a wifi hotspot.

It doesn't ask if I want to connect to a wifi network, but rather if I want to configure a wifi hotspot.

I have network notification unchecked in the advanced wifi settings so it should not notify me of new wifi hotspots and I have tethering off.

This is really annoying because the screen asking if I want to connect pops up and overrides all other apps and must be clicked to cancel every time.

I have the same problem. Go to settings/ more settings/ mobile networks/ automatic connections/ uncheck sprint automatic connection. I did this 5 hours ago and wifi did not come on but keeps on scanning. Sorry thats the best i got
