This has been discussed million times and many suggestions are made but I still can't get it to work.
Macbook with version 10.9.1
Galaxy S3 version 4.3
Kies 3.0.1
I have upgraded all the required components to the latest/greatest versions.
When Kies is started, it comes up with the message "Connecting to device" and after a while it stops. It is so frustrating/annoying that this is not resolved yet.
