Ok. I already have the cwm on my phone, and its rooted... but i'll try it. What about the CyanogenMod 7.1.0? or is that for the froyo? I see the shabbymod is for the froyo... I didnt like the CTMod cuz it had absolutely nothing on it.. lol It wouldnt let me change wallpapers. and it was a pain to get to my apps cuz the dock thing on the bottom was gone.. is this normal when u get a new ROM on it?
CTMod is a minimalist/customizist's Mod. The dock isn't missing, it just comes empty
If you read the first couple posts, Myself and a couple others discuss how to get the dock and screens set up with ease.
I thought it was there, guess it was someplace else.
The process is easy. To get started, just hit menu > Add > Shortcuts > Applications grid.
Long press it and drag it down to the bottom of the screen -below- the trashcan. it should drop down into the dock. That gives you an easy route to the app-drawer where you can long press any app and drag it to your screen or to the dock.
I like to put Phone, Contacts, the app drawer, Messaging, and web browser shortcuts in the dock.
wallpapers are easy, simply install a gallery app. The stock one is good, you just have to manually put it into /system/app for it to work. There's more in the market
The current Cyanogenmod and Shabbymod are both dependent on the Froyo kernel. The froyo kernel is somewhat dependent on the EE14 baseband.
as for what's normal for a rom, everything is different so there's not really a 'normal' per-se
