Was wondering if anyone ran into loud static when on a call that disappears after a reboot? This is my second Droid after taking the first one back for the headphone jack being loose and twice now I've had this very loud static, I can hear people on the other side talking but they hear nothing from me even yelling as loud as I can. A reboot of the phone fixes it. Happened one time right when I picked up a call and then about 5 seconds into another one. Not sure if I want to roll the dice on a third Droid or wait for the software update....

Almost sounds hardware related in which case the 12/11 firmware upgrade won't help. I have not experienced the static sound 'in call' but I do have the static sound that comes when playing music loudly through the headphone jack.
My Incredible does this too. Very irritating.

I have not had this issue... sounds crappy..... three times is the charm they say..... LOL.

I wonder if this is not more of a software issue, since a reboot fixes it (in the OP's case, at least), like maybe an app. Maybe try using a task killer to see if that changes anything?
. Don't know whether it is hardware or firmware. Tried listening to radion station (both FM and internet) and get the loud static in background.

I get this alot on my Galaxy Mini & Galaxy Gio (yeah, both phones).
This is 2011. You posted back in 2009. Status quo?
