make a call by voice instructions

I am looking for a app for my Samsung Galaxy 5 , which i bought in india two days ago.

When given voice instructions,it should place a call, compose an sms , etc.

I downloaded an app Vling from market, but it works only when connected to internet.

Please suggest me any free app available for this purpose

Or , is this feature already available in the phone, please guide me.

Voice input is a standard part of Android. In most text input fields you'll see a microphone to speak the text you'd like.

Many of the basic commands will work by long-pressing the search button (the magnifying glass in the lower right).

Can you tell me how to make a call to a contact name, for eg "Raj".

Can i go to phone book and give voice instructions. can you please temme how to acheive this. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, looks like it requires 2.2. The good news is Samsung says the 2.2 update for the Galaxy S class phones should be out the middle of this month.
