"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

I suppose that's plausible, but that really doesn't fit the whole "escaped Droid" game they got going on; it's not really an "escaped" Droid X if they just end up sending it to you. But who knows. I doubt I'll find one anyway. Columbus is about an hour south of Atlanta and it's a military town. They're more likely to be in or near major cities.

At least you're only an hour away, Atlanta could def be one of the sites. I on the other hand, live in Va Beach, VA. 4 hours from D.C. and 5 hours from Raleigh/Durham... Not sure if they'd stick one in Norfolk. All military here too lol.

I really hope there is one in so cal by me. I went to Best Buy tonight and they are taking pre-orders but they still dont know what the retail price is. I will tell you this this thing is really messing up my time I feel like a junky or something lol

If one is not in Arizona and I am wasting my time and energy continually checking this thing....I am going to be soooooo freaking ticked off. You do not even know the rage that will result of this...

"Droid X designate #3 is near the west coast. Droid hunters are advised to start looking at the shoreline and work inland"

Now we're talking...or not. I am in the SF Bay Area, but more inland than coastline. Then again, West Coast can be anywhere from San Diego to the Canadian border. Quite a large territory, I would say. Useless clue.

It also said earlier that #3 would be at a higher altitude so just inland of the coast and high altitude would probably be No. Cal. which sucks for me casue I am in So. Cal. At least we are starting to get a little closer. For How many people are following @droidlanding there isn't much out there to find about this crazy scavenger hunt. I think Verizon should look at this thread and give us all one.

While I am hoping it's NorCal, there are really too many options. Washington and Oregon have their fair share of mountains too, so who knows.

Since I don't live on the west coast I'll throw in my two cents.

The tweet says "Droid Hunters", I'm wondering if that is a clue that it's some sort of hunting grounds.

Anyone from the area know of any high altitude, hunting grounds on the west coast?

Yosemite?

nvm, too far inland probably.

They mention the shoreline and then head inland. The Inland Empire is here in southern california, east of orange county, with the Saddleback mountains just before it. Hmmmm

You guys have seen The Amazing Race right? Maybe they put boxes in the locations, similar to the one's used on that show. On the box it could say something like, "X lies here. Send this code to us: _______"

In the blank would be a code that you tweet as a reply back to DL. Then they would send you the info to get your Droid X..

Just a theory, who really knows at this point with these crazy hints lol!

sound more logical than just placing a box somewhere.

Hey man Im right beside you in Phenix City. If one does seem to turn up in Atlanta on a day im not working, I'm going lol. It'd have to be a pretty substantial clue, but I'd go lol.

Guys I really think the one in Texas may have something to do with the MotorpleX as stated earlier. I checked up on google maps and the TX Motorplex, is dangerously close to...... The Verizon Theatre. The theatre is located in Grand Praire, TX while the Motorplex is in Ennis, TX. If anyone can find any correlation between the two, I'd say go for it and check.

I'm on the east coast. No dice for me yet.
Verizon, I had an android phone but it has met an unfortunate fate. I would love another android phone. Please help me. :)

I think... i might go check this one place for the one thats by the shoreline but inland as well....

this place makes alot of sense for one of these DROID X's to be there...
i really hope it is there,... well will let you know soon!!!!
wish me luck!!!!

ok I may have missed this somewhere, but there are 2 droid landing accounts on twitter, the other is @droidxlanding...but it says the droidlanding account was hacked and to follow it now, what you think? I'm following both now, lol.
