MTP not on Navigation for Galaxy s III

I'm told I must turn on MTP to do file transfers between phone and computer. All support docs say I need to go to navigation to do it but I do not see any option for Media Data - MTP on my phone.

I'm told I must turn on MTP to do file transfers between phone and computer. All support docs say I need to go to navigation to do it but I do not see any option for Media Data - MTP on my phone.

MTP is for data management for the connection to the computer. If you connect the phone to a computer the phone should automaticly connect via MTP, unless the settings were changes.

The only time I see the settings for it is when I connect the phone to the computer.
There are other settings to connect by, but I can't remeber what it is.
