Help Multiple messages sent on HTC Desire 626

[Android Question]

Hi guys. On my HTC Desire 626, when I send messages to people it gives me the red triangle and says that the message hasn't sent. The other person, however seems to be able to receive it but they get multiple messages of that one text. Sometimes I get multiples of the text they send back. This just started happening as I texted people happy new years. I restarted my phone and had my Lookout security run a scan but I don't know what's going on. I can't text anyone without this happening. What should I do? Thanks and happy new years.

Is it still happening? Networks often get overloaded with messages at new year's, so the problem may have been with the network rather than the phone. If it has cleared up a few hours later I would assume that was the case.

This is the OP and it doesn't seem to be happening anymore, but sometimes it says my message can't be sent with a red triangle. Maybe it only happened because of New Years though as you said. It seems fine now. Thanks.
