Help music not playing

yeah i searched. right i got a new (16gb) card for me phone. transfering music goes smoothly and everything goes onto the phone. some tracks play this is mainly short tracks less than 10 mins, now long tracks do not play. says "unable to play" or something similar. this is using poweramp. if i try it with the music thing that came on it then the ones thatll play do and the ones that dont crash the app. ive formatted the card and it makes no difference. the tracks that can be played have their length in mins:secs listed next to the title/artist/etc stuff. the ones that wont play dont have any time on them. all the tracks are mp3 format. any suggestions? thanks

update. im putting it down to a dodgy memory card as another one i have works fine.
