Help My LG optimus one having problem to detect the adhoc network..?

Do anyone had any idea to fix it? i m using laptop to create a share connection by creating a ad hoc wireless network.. but seem like my LG optimus one cant detect the Ad hoc network name?

From what I gather, in order to get away from infrastructure and into ad hoc networking, you'd have to have a custom kernel, to begin with (on a rooted device).
