Netflix app for Droid Charge?

Does anyone know if they are ever going to release a netflix app for the Charge and if so, when?? I bought the charge a few days ago and I really want a netflix app. You would think that would almost be standard on all 4GLTE phones...ugh I tried downloading a hacked version but it crashes after trying to login.

I have not ready any information about when or if they will update Netflix to work with any phones other than the ones listed in the link by Harry2.

Thats what I was afraid of. I don't think I wanna root it just yet. I guess I will just hold out and hope that they release a version of it for the charge. Time will tell.

What exactly is the reason the Netflix app won't work on ALL Android phones? Is it the 4G that's the problem? As an aside, though the Charge has front and rear facing cameras, you cannot get Skype for it - a perfect app for two cameras! So maybe it's something else about the Charge I don't understand. Anyone have a clue?

jwb120548 it seems that something in the chip Samung uses is not "secure enough" for netflix's liking it's not just the Charge quite a few android have been left out. They say they're working on a fix though. The Charge is a fun phone!

According to the Android Marketplace - the Samsung Charge is now "officially" supported for the official Netflix app.

I have downloaded this official app from the Android Marketplace, but it crashes every time I attempt to log in. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app (and restarted my Charge at various times), but it still crashes every time I attempt to log in to Netflix via the app.

Has anyone with a Charge been able to successfully log in to Netflix via the app and actually stream anything? If so, please reply with how you got the official Netflix app to work on your Samsung Charge.

I was able to install, login, and stream from the app. I only went about a minute into the movie I picked but it seemed a little slow but maybe because it was the first run.

BAH! I mean...I'm happy that it worked for you...but I wonder why I can't get the Netflix app to work on my Charge?

Anyone? Bueller...Bueller? Anyone out there have any ideas/tips??

I just downloaded and restarted and its working great! It started out a bit pixelated but cleared up really sharp. I also logged into netflix on my laptop (at home) and am running both right now with no lag or problems.:)
