New-Old Tablet

Hi,

Probably asked thousand times....bue....

I bought a tablet (legit) from a friend of a friend (seriously....it is legit)

I wiped it with hard reset.....but cannot get in.....keep asking for 'old connection account'

How do we get around that??

If he give me his password....will it be easier??

rather than doing a hard reset the tablet should have had just a factory reset done from within the device's setting. as you are finding out, doing a hard reset will trip google's FRP (factory reset protection). the only thing you can do now is get the old info from your friend as you hinted at.

Hi @Jeenan, yes you will have to ask nicely if you can use his Google account details to access the tablet. Then add your own.

Your friend can then just change his password and everything is hunky-dory.

I managed to put my hand on the original password....and reset the tablet....

complicated......but possible....
