New Smartphone Owner

I recently became the proud owner of a Droid X this past weekend. This is my first smartphone, and the decision wasn't hard on which to get when it came time to upgrade. I'm a student of Computer Science about to graduate, and thanks to my collegiate level knowledge of computers, I am a huge fan with great interest in many open source softwares. However, I had no computer knowledge other than daily use until I made the choice to study the field during my Sophomore year of college. So, I'm a pretty big noob when it comes to developing, but my background allows me to learn rather quickly. I'd like to do some developing and I hope to use this community to learn and eventually become a contributor.
