Generally speaking, flashing a custom recovery will block OTAs.

I never knew custom recovery blocked them. Something new everyday.

root and freeze the updater app. if remember right i dont think twrp was blocking ota's unless that got fixed.

Not sure If this is related to the update, but when I'm connected to WiFi emails and text won't push to phone. Also on YouTube won't connect using second screen feature. But I can connect to web and such. My Wife has a note 3 and said she was having the same problem yesterday. Any one else having the same problem?
