    Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy the SGS2 in London, but I have to know first - is the current model in UK stores contains the NFC chip, or not.

    Do you might know?
I know that the first phones that were sold, didn't have the chip in them.

    Thanks!!

    Thanks for the quick response!

I also saw the wikipedia page of SGS2 - but I figured that there must be people from the UK in the forum, so they might tell me from their experience.

    Thanks guys.

    No worries :)

There's always been a "will they or won't they" issue with NFC. Initially was rumoured to be released in June, then it was believed that all phones came with an inactive NFC chip which would be activated by firmware as and when the UK got NFC compatible, then not at all so I don't blame you for asking!!

    *edit*

Don't let this put you off getting the phone though, as Netcom have created a microSD card with NFC capabilities!
