OK so I watched the Apple live blog from San Fran and have to say I'm not impressed at all. The 5 is pretty much what many have speculated it would be...A taller iPhone 4 with LTE! Either way, I'm just not impressed with the device from what I saw today, many will flock to buy it just to say they have the latest and greatest from Apple, I'm not one of those people. So now onto the point of this thread.. Its time for Google to unleash something that will blow us all away...And honestly in my eyes, now is the perfect time!
The Galaxy Nexus was a fine phone, however it did have a few quirks, however all in all...it functioned very well, and Jellybean made it lightning fast and buttery smooth.
For the next Nexus I think it needs to be a little more then a developers phone and left out of the hands of carriers that do not understand what a vanilla Google experience is all about.
As for the device itself...
First off I'd like to see a device that is relatively the same size as the Galaxy Nexus, maybe a tiny bit thinner as far as thickness goes, with better battery life, Gorilla Glass 2, a quad core that plays well with LTE, a Super Amoled + 720p HD screen without pentile, a much better internal speaker that doesn't have to be heard in just a quite room, and improved noise cancellation with a louder earpiece. Couple all that with pure Jellybean, and project butter and I'm sold!
A pure Google device like that will surely make many of us Android heads very excited, and hurt the feelings of anyone using the iPhone 5 with specs that we've been seeing on Android phones for a while now.
