So I have a Bluetooth OBD2 connector and a couple apps to work with it, works great! what I am interested in is an app that will run OBD1.... does anyone know if there is such thing?

here is why i want it: I have a 1995 corvette and this year was special to OBD because it was when american cars were switching from OBD1 to OBD2. So on my corvette I have an OBD2 connector but the vehicles computer is OBD1...... So with my existing OBD2 bluetooth connector i already have the connection now i just need an app :D

Hi
when I connect my P500 to the PC it in PC suite saying phone is not connected if i open the phone in explorer its visible what is the problem. before it was working properly...
can any one suggest what is the problem...???!!

I think you want to be starting your own thread. what you are talking about here has no relation to my post. Thanks

Unfortunately, I don't think its possible. At least not at the current moment. You'll just have to wait for an OBD1 adapter and app. OBD II seems to have more interest because A) More people have OBD II capable cars and B) OBD II is far more standardised than OBD1. Most of the basic things on OBD II cars are standard across manufacturers worldwide, with the possibility some manufacturer specific data. Unfortunately, AFAIK, this isn't true for OBD1, making it considerably harder to design for.

Sort of a speak of the devil situation, since I bought an OBDII adapter for my 99 Escort. I'm just crossing my fingers, since it was one of those cheap Chinese ones, and I hope it just works. I don't have a tach or anything fancy like digital displays, so it would be nice to know what's going on under the hood.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I am wondering if you got this to work?

I have a 95 firebird with the OBD1 connector, and I would like to get it to work with the "Torque" app which currently uses the OBD2 protocol.

I have computer applications that work, but I would rather use my phone as it is smaller and easier to have on the wind-shield.

As alluded to earlier, OBDI protocols and hardware connections are proprietary to each vehicle manufacturer, unlike OBDII which is a universal standard as federally mandated. So there isn't an "OBDI app" and there isn't likely to be one as you'd need specific interface hardware and software for every vehicle manufacturer (GM, Ford, Chrysler and each of the foreign mfrs).
The reason an app like Torque can exist is because the same protocol and hardware will work with every US-spec vehicle made from '96 and up.
