***Official*** I just got the OTA and my battery is so much ______ (fill in the blank) -type thread.

Ok so I got around 7 hours with ATK. I'm going to uninstall and see what happens, but seeing as I'm not working tomorrow, seeing the battery life stay the same would be good news.

So, what's the best way to get a new one from verizon? Local store or cs?

Or should I wait a bit longer to see if it gets better on it's own?

Two things.

1. Apply the update and see if that helps.

2. give it a week or so, these batteries need a few cycles to get to full potential

I just downloaded it today so i will see tomorrow if it increased it any. Hopefully it did that would make this phone even more awesome then it already is

Sounds like the update fixed the way the system reads the correct amount of remaining battery power.

I'm downloading .604 now and I'm coming from .514 so hopefully I see a huge jump in signal and battery power.

I got the update last night and see no improvement. I'll give it some more time tho to see what happens.

Title says it all. Before the update I could expect 10 to 10.5 hours. Today I've been unplugged for 10 hours and its at 50%

Ive been unplugged for 13 hours and I'm at 40%. Yesterday at that time my phone was on the charger so I think it helped a lot. And I have been texting/downloading/streaming radio all day.

I'm in the same boat, experiencing better battery life. The phone is registering proper levels now. That may explain why after rebootig the phone it would always show a higher reading. I'm much more satisfied, I really like to use the heck out of my device, am very pleased and imagining what a 1800 mAh or better battery will do.

Google. lol. Search for "nes roms" or whatever system you want, then download the zip, unzip it, and put it on your SD card. =D

There are threads popping up about the battery life after the OTA, so I'm going to merge them here for neatness' sake. After all, the phrase goes, "cleanliness is next to godliness"

So i guess with 13 hrs 10 mins and in the orange 20% is what some other people are getting also.

but for some people to still be at 50% is crazy, i dont feel i really use my phone very much, just regular texting, and google voice texting and my battery seems to die faster than others are reporting....
