Wow what a day..I left this morning to go to the library and on my way there. Some stupid high school kids (Yes I got robbed by high school kids -_-) about 7 of them approached me and pushed me up against a wall outside some place where they were at for lunch I guess.

Waited a few hours and sent a text to the phone from another number trying to play it off as if I had the phone up for sale. Sent it a message saying I seen your ad on craigs list I'll give $100 cash for the phone sure enough he texted back no.

Sent another text saying I'll pay $300 and that got him alright. Went to meet him, brought a friend of mine and took my phone back from this idiot.

Kids sure are getting cocky these days thinking they can just take things. Glad you took control back. I know you were steamed. Glad you weren't hurt too.

I think the worst thing that could happen to them (in their minds) would be being identified by name and photo in the teaser for the evening news:

"Crime victim fights back - idiot thieves duped into returning stolen goods... tonight on the 11 o'clock news!" The embarrassment alone would be sufficient punishment.

at this stage, MD - on beta still and I am in the testing - USE to have the ability to lock the screen but that broke in 2.2 Froyo so they are trying to fix it. So, MD would allow you to log onto and track the phone via their website. There are other apps I have - Lost Phone - that allow you to send a text message to the phone and (1) lock it (2) make it play a high pitch alarm sound

i have one that i made just fiddling around that sends the address at which the phone is located. it would be fun to play a few games with them over the phone-(ie-mommy and daddy's land line) and scare the living crap out of them. hell, it wouldnt be too difficult once you have the home address to find out their names, the school they attend, where they work. just start showing up and saying "hello" at various places.

I dunno how legit this story is, the kids had the balls and the power to throw this guy up against a wall the first time, yet he couldn't defend himself. Then the second time they meet, he is suddenly superman and gets the phone back? Did you bring like a 7 foot 5 300 lb body guard friend with you?

You would also then find yourself probably in lots of legal hot water, but ok whatever.

You should have taken his phone as well, and stamped on it.

Unfortunately, the OP could have gotten his ass kicked the first time around. The second, he could have roughed up the kid a little to scare him, and the OP would have been the one in trouble.

Gotta love the U.S. legal system.

Way too many delinquents running around today. But if it would have happened to me, I don't think I would have mentioned the fact they were high school kids...
