Help Photon randomly stops playing music

I have a Moto Photon on Sprint. The Sprint music player works fine, but after a day or so, it randomly stops working. I don't notice until I try to open it and it states an error has occurred and the player stopped working. Problem is that I use this for an alarm in the morning, but its not dependable given that whatever causes this to happen will not allow the alarm to play. Its like russian roulette, sometimes it works, but eventually it wont play. Suggestions?

Have you tried other players to see if they also stop working, like the Google Music app or Amazon MP3? I assume you've already tried rebooting the phone? If none of your music players will work consistently, it might be time for a factory reset.
