I have a ZTE 4G Sonora and my fingers are to large for the querty keys. Is there a way around this. Thanks

Try installing a custom keyboard from the google play store.
Go into the store and search for "Swiftkey" or "Google Keyboard."
Both of these are great alternatives to the stock keyboard, Swiftkey especially is highly customizable.
Also, swiping your finger removes the need for pinpoint finger accuracy - both Swiftkey and Google Keyboard support Swype.
