What is SmallDroid?:

SmallDroid is a great ROM based on CM7 for the LG Ally. Its main goal is stability, but also bringing users some extra space along with awesome performance

Working :

• everything except for listing below (I hope

Not Working :

• Camera works fine, no autofocus/flash

Bugs :

• Music app starts when headphones are plug in - mostly after devices has fallen asleep, music will play.
• Keyboard is tiny (3rd party keyboards don't stay after reboot)
• Removing Provision.apk breaks HOME button

How to flash SmallDroid :

1. Download and copy the latest ROM zip to SD Card
2. Reboot into Recovery Mode
3. Select Wipe data and cache
4. Select install zip from sd card
5. Select choose zip from sd card
6. Select the new ROM zip
7. Select Yes - Install update
8. Wait until the Installation is finish
9. Flash gapps (optional)
10. Select reboot system now

Fix Blackscreen when phone is sleeping
------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 1st boot you must make sure that cyanogenmod > settings > display settings:
screen on and off animations are unchecked. Failure to do so will result in device waking up to a black screen.

Enable Data Connection
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Under wireless & network settings/mobile networks International Data Roaming must be checked. You will not roam on other carriers and incur any extra charges (roam is done via prl on cdma not a checkbox). This setting is required on cdma phones for cyanogen. Failure to do this will result in no data connection.

Looks like a ROM I would have liked when I was still rocking the Ally! Just right click on any Moderators name and send them a private message, they should be able to assist with the name change.

Hello I'm new here but I was wondering if anyone saved this rom anywhere on their drives. As of now the rom is considered lost media due to androidfilehost not having it right now. It seems stock android 2.3.4 is available for it however due to the age of the phone all the extra bloat takes a toll on the storage space. Any reupload would be great for not only the history of the device but pushing out any sort of functionality on the phone in the year that I'm typing this, 2023. Thanks in advance
