What software version is your phone running? EC10? EE19? EH09?

So far, I believe that 2.3.4 (the version that the Mez is running) is essentially root-proof. If you want root, you'll have to load a custom version of 2.3 that is pre-rooted.

nothing is root proof. Just being a small carrier(US Cell) not enough people to pay immediate attention to.

It took a while but even the Acclaim got rooted and that phone was a floating turd.
