Ok now that the update wait is over I have been contemplating on rooting my Droid...and I just wanted to get a gen consensus on what everyone thinks about it...I am somewhat tech savvy and I dont think that I will jack anything up like the average user might but...I just dont know if I should take the plunge to make a very customizable phone even more cuztomizable...?

Don't worry, it is a very very simple process now. You won't gain a lot from it until we get some custom ROM's but there are some nice apps that require root. If you need some help with it give me a shout, I rooted mine the night it was discovered and have rooted my previous Android phones.
