Help Samsung 7.7 mount

I have Samsung 7.7 and it is not discoverd by my Linux system.
My phone Samsung S2 is discovered.
So what is the difference in the two Samsung devices ... one is discovered and the other one is not:

What do you mean by discovered? Is this with wireless, usb, smb...?

Did you make sure to set the phone up as disk drive?

My phone Samsung S2 has in Settings/Wireless&Network an option for USB where I can set it up as storage.
But on the Galaxy 7.7 there is no option for USB in Settings/Wireless&Network ... so how do I set up Galaxy 7.7 as storage ... even my computer file mgr doesn't see it ...

I am totally lost ...

I'm not familiar with that device, but you can try a couple of things in linux.

lsusb before and after you plug it in. OR
dsmeg after you plug it in.

Not sure if those will work without it being in mass storage mode though. ??
