Samsung Galaxy S 2 Randomly shutting off

My phone keeps shutting itself off all of a sudden. I installed a battery saving app last night and everything was fine. Today it kept shutting down and not connecting to the internet also. I uninstalled any battery saving or manager/killer apps, but it still is doing it.

Any ideas or am I stuck starting over with a factory default reset?

Hmm that's strange. Yes I'd suggest a factory reset.

please help my galaxy s keeps shutting off and now that i have done a factory reset . it has frozen up again.
