Help Samsung Galaxy S II auto-rotation problem

Hey guys I just want to ask why my Samsung Galaxy S II's camera is stuck on landscape mode? When I turn off the auto-rotation option, my camera app is stuck on landscape mode but other apps such as messaging or browser aren't. And if I turn the auto-rotation on, my camera reverts back to portrait mode. I don't like having the auto-rotation turned on because it affects other apps. I tried clearing camera data and cache, even doing a factory reset but the problem won't go away. My S II model is GT-I9100G. Running on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Anyway you can help me with this? Thanks.

Not sure if this will help, I use one similar for the screen and it works a treat! Says it should work in any app and it's free so all you have to lose is time, lol.

Unfortunately my camera interface is still rotated sideways. Even though auto-rotation is off and the phone is held upright. But the pictures taken by the camera is somehow oriented in the correct position. It's only the interface. And it's very annoying to see.
