Help samsung kies help!!

my apollo wont connect to kies!! ive tried various versions and when i try connecting it says 'unable to connect to GT;I5800 ,failed to retrieve device information' ive even tried taking out the sd card PLEASE help??

are you using launcher pro? Kies only accepts tw launcher...

Does it do mass storage? Anything happening to the phone while connecting?

Make sure you have the latest version of Kies installed to ensure Windows has the correct drivers.

To connect Phone to Kies:


1.Start Kies
2. Switch off phone. Remove SD card and restart.
3. Change the USB settings. Go to Settings > Wireless and Network > USB Settings and change it to Samsung Kies.
4. Connect phone to PC by USB cable. Kies should now recognise the phone.

i downloaded kies v1.5.1 and it detects my phone and it shows as GT-I5800. but when i clicked on it its says GT-I5800 doesn't support internal memory browsing? any suggestions?

Latest Kies works ok for sync but for Gingerbread update for Galaxy S it comes with message "you do not have permission....server" Upgrade from original version to 2.2.1 worked fine without that message. Uninstalled and tried to launch as administrator - no way

Any idea withuot rooting etc. ?

I had same message , I did this :

To perform a hard reset:

1. In Idle mode, open the application list and select Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset -> Reset phone -> Erase everything.

Then started KIES and reconnected myphone Apollo and all worked!

Do you use XP ?

I had many problems with my PC when I tried to connect my device.
Finally, I try to installed this, and set USB Mode is Kies :

d10.devid.info/file/67/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe

And it was worked. Hope that it will be help you.

guys plz help,..

Kies shows ' a new firmware version is available' and when i hit upgrade button, it downloads the firmware components. After that my pc shows an error message( win 7), as the program has stopped working. But even when i choose 'close the prgram' button in the error message, the kies keeps running. It shows: preparing components for firmware upgradation. ...and keeps running. I've waited for 3-4 hrs, and still it's running and nothing happening. I checked my data usage while it's running and it was almost Zero(that means it doesn't download anything, or is it like , it only cooks the already downloaded components?). I don't know what's going wrong with this crap.
Even I have downloaded the latest version of kies.

Somebody earlier in this forum has told kies work only with tw launcher. Is that so? Mine is Go launcher.
