Screen protector

Having never had a phone with Gorilla Glass, I have a question.
Will I need a screen protected on my note?
If I do get one, will the s-pen still work, or will it need to touch the screen.?
I'm not bothered about the back of the phone, I can just replace the battery cover. Cheers all.

I don't think a screen protector will hurt, I've already ordered one to have when I finally decide to order the phone (debating on waiting for the White version).

SPen wise, my Wacom tablet works perfectly fine when I set paper over it to trace on, I'm assuming the Note would work the same way. I can set a piece of paper on my iPhone and still use the touch screen, should be no issue with the pen through the plastic protector.
