Root Sprint EVO Shift 4G Root - PLEASE HELP

I am just about ready to give up. Everything I have tried fails, and I have tried to root my phone from the info found in multiple threads. Some threads have inactive links when trying to download the root.zip.

My phone is basically worthless at this point due to the inability to delete worthless files and crap programs.

Yep, rooted my daughter's shift yesterday using this video. This is as easy as it gets.
