T-Mobile My touch. Alarm clock question.

I have a T-Mobil My touch 3G. Vs 1.6. I have a contract.

My question is how can I get the alarm clock to sound, when I turn off my phone at night? I know having the phone on 24/7 isn't good for the phone. Though I have been able to shut off my old Samsung to let if rest, yet still get my alarm. I would like this function on the My Touch.

Any app updates or setting help would be much appreciated.

Having the phone on 24/7 is not bad for the phone, especially considering the lifespan of phones. You should have no issue keeping it on all the time until your contract runs out and you upgrade. I don't know of a ton of phones that turn on for the alarm. I know BlackBerry does, and I guess your old Samsung did too. There's no way to do this on your MyTouch, AFAIK.
