Text message issue

[Android Question]

I have a xmini pro sony and a friend has sent me some texts this morning. It shows I have three messages and when go to read them its blank. When I go back to the main screen it still says I have three messages. I was able to read one earlier from the same person. I can view other peoples messages fine. Can you help???
