Help There are no keyboard settings

Hello! I have had my android phone for awhile and had a keyboard come up every time I needed it to. Now it will not come up when I try to type in fb messages or posts and internet sites or even the browser. How do I make the keyboard come up? I do not have keyboard settings now. Why? and what do I do?

First thing try a soft reset then depending on your phone look under Settings look for something called Language & keyboard or Input to specify which keyboard you want to use. Unfortunately I have never seen a setting to make the keyboard pop-up. That has just been baked into Android software since the beginning. HTH

If it is disabled in settings it will not come up,go to settings>storage>apps>in disabled app list scroll down to Google keyboard tap on it and tap to enable.
