Root Trouble signing into Market on Rooted HTC HD

Howdy fellas

Last night I rooted my device and installed the Cyanogen Mod 7.1.0.

Now it was late at night and i forgot to backup all my applications in my excitement for the awaiting rom!

Everything is working swell, got all my contacts back etc. The only issue being i am at a loss for how to access the android market again.

I downloaded the APK file and installed manually, but when the app prompts for me to log into my gmail account it just closes when i click "yes".

My gmail account is syncd with my phone, and the internet connection is working.

Any ideas?

From what you've said, you flashed CM7, but didn't flash the gapps (google apps) zip file... you should be able to get the gapps file from ROM Manager, then flash it in Clockwork... that should sort you out!
