Root Trying to port Aokp ROM

Okay so I've been looking into porting am Aokp room But the tutorials on porting seem a little to easy.. You I know I have to replace files from base rom from Aokp rom but what changes within system would I have to do? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for reading this thread.
 
porting isnt really all that hard..keep in mind the port is easy..getting it to boot..but what is gonna work and whats not gonna work will be a different story..
