I'm not sure what you mean bu the "whole" screen? I have no issues with the apps I use. Is there a specific app you're having problems with?

Google released APIs for adapting to different screen ratios back when this phone and the S8 were announced, and publicly encouraged developers to update to use them. So if you have apps that don't adapt well it's probably the app developer you should be pushing to update their apps rather than LG to update the phone.
