Verizon vs. AT&T in the SF Bay Area

Hi all. I want the best possible carrier and I am currently with AT&T. I switched to them from Verizon many years ago because the service at my house in that particular spot was terrible.

I don't live there anymore and I have been reading that Verizon has surpassed AT&T in the Bay. Frankly, AT&T works everywhere for me except on the BART train from the trasbay tube in SF to Lake Merritt station.

Any experiences?
