Math ain't easy sometimes.
So it's not 75th anniversary of Star Wars then?
Well, it did say "a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away)"...
OTOH, this seller is smoking crack on another planet.
I mean it’s not as though it’s autographed by a famous Irish Setter or anything...
Seems the crack-smoking e-bayers rub off on the site itself...
As some of you may recall, I have a watch or two. As such I tend to try and maintain them myself with minor things and have a few tools for the purpose, as well as some basic skills and understanding of watchmaking (I was going to use the proper term "horology" but figured that might send the puerile minds here to endless giggling fits, so I'm not going to mention that!).
Many moons ago I gave my sister a Kenneth Cole wristwatch, which has a Japanese quartz movement. Some time rather recently she went to set the time and realized there was no crown on the watch. She and her husband took it to a jeweler who said something was still stuck in the watch, but if they could get the crown he would fix it for $40. So they asked me if I had any ideas and I had them bring it to church a couple of Sundays ago.
What was still stuck in the watch was the stem. What had happened was that the crown had come loose and then unscrewed off the stem, leaving it lost forever. Unfortunately there are scads of options, so trying to guess wasn't getting me anywhere. Turns out all of the parts are still available, and through Geneva group I was able to buy the crown, with shipping, for $12.75 (that's about $7 more than the cost of the crown had I been able to figure out which one to buy rather than going through the Geneva group...).
Anyway, along the way I figured out that the battery needs to be replaced as well, and rather than go to the hit-or-miss drugstore options (where they start at $5.95 and have a limited selection) I tottered off to e-bay (there are a couple of really good sellers there that I do business with when the need arises) and made my selection. $1.38, including shipping, for a Renata (one of the best brands for watch batteries, for those of you taking notes at home).
And e-bay, apparently inhaling some of the crack exhaled by a few of their L-users ("losers"), made me this offer...
So, did you get the protection plan? LOL!
thats great, do u think the battery will last for 3 years?
if say, it discharged completely before 3 years would you get a new one free?
then that'd be a great deal, lifetime supply of batteries for 8 bucks
