I have MP3s on my phone and I use the MediaMonkey app to play them through Android Auto.

However, I am not keen on MediaMonkey for several reasons so I am looking to change.

I'm using Pi Music Player but it's nothing special. I'll be following your thread with interest.

I use Power amp, I've had it forever and it works with AA. It may be a paid app.

PowerAmp is paid, but it has a trial period that's long enough to properly evaluate it.

(I don't use AA, so can't answer the question myself).
