Xiaomi devices don't generally have LTE support for the bands wireless carriers use in the United States.
It seems like this has changed because the company confirms the Mi 5 will support LTE bands: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12 / 13 / 17 / 18 / 19 / 20 / 25 / 26 / 27 / 28 / 29 with bands 38 / 39 / 40 / 41 left with uncertainty.
