Root Z4root Process??

    I haven't but from what I understand it'll only give a soft root on the evo. So when you reboot you lose root.

    i don't believe z4 permaroots htc phones. Works great for temp access

    That is correct, it will only temporarily root the phone unless you have nand unlocked. That being said, if you use unrevoked, and it only gives you S-OFF, but doesn't root your ROM (it's been known to happen), z4root can be used to finish the process.
