Help Does your evo slow to a crawl if you turn on 4G?

I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, I turned on 4G to see if I could get a signal, well I couldn't but it seems every time I turn it on now the phone becomes really slow and unresponsive, like if I tap a widget it takes about 2 or 3 seconds to open at least, or if I swipe to move from one screen to the next it takes 3 or 4 seconds to move over. Is this because the phone is being bogged down searching for a 4G signal? I never noticed this issue before the Froyo update, could that have had something to do with it? just curious if anyone else has noticed this with their phone.

yes i've experienced this as well... kinda upsetting considering its what the phone is made to do

Did this start for you after the Froyo update too?

Mine is running fine. Everything smoothed out after a hard reset

Mine runs smooth as butter when I turn 4G on. Got my Evo yesterday, came pre-installed with Froyo.

Mine has done this both times i turned on 4g in an area where i could actually get a signal. Problem is that i cant get the phone to stop lagging even after i turn off 4g, restarting the phone works though.

as far as i can remember there was no kind of lag before froyo... maybe its just a software bug that can be worked out
