Touch Screen Calibration Issues Still?

I still get touch screen calibration issues nearly a year on.

I wonder whether it's a software thing or a hardware thing as i've had many software updates since buying the phone.

What happens is when typing, lets say i'm trying to press the letter E, it will bring up the menu key, i.e. it brings up the function of the key a good few cm's below what i've pressed.

Sometimes i get zoom issues too, trying to scroll down a web page it seems to stutter the zoom in/out.

Are these common place problems on a N1 or should i be looking for a replacement... or waiting for a software patch?

If it's a known problem with no fix then i will live with it, try cleaning the screen more often etc.

However, if HTC has a fix i'll like an exchange because it is quite annoying sometimes. Just don't want to bother sending it back and being without a phone for 2 weeks if all they will do is send me a re-conditioned replacement.

I've had the issue like once in the last 6 months. I'm surprised to see it's related to cleanliness.. although I must say I keep it relatively clean, apart from the usual smudges.
I thought it was more related to something electrical.. seeing as the problem used to occur more when it was plugged in. But for some reason it just stopped happening to me.

Too bad like 90% of the Nexus' flaws are caused by the crappy Clearpad2000 digitizer.
Apart from that it's just one big chunk of awesome.

I've found that I start getting digitizer issues at around 300 - 350 hours of up time. Since I installed 2.3.3 I haven't run continuously that long yet. A reboot always cleared up the problem for another few hundred hours. Lately I've been rebooting at least once a week to keep ahead of the issue. Not that big a deal for me, but perhaps my particular N1 isn't as bad as others.

Everyone is so quick to show how knowledgeable they are about multitouch issues that they didn't bother to ever read the post to see that's not the problem being discussed at all :D
The calibration problem that shows up, particularly when plugged in, is a software issue, as demonstrable be doing a sleep/wake cycle, which makes it go away temporarily.
Since getting the GB update, it has not happened at all, so it seems to be cured.
