Oh, my... I LOVE that wallpaper! Could you tell me where you got it, or possibly share it? I love the blue, that's my very favorite color/shade/hue. I think I'll PM you with this as well, just in case you're not watching the thread.
Nice work, everyone! Hey, maybe I'm just slow and this has already been realized eons ago, but I discovered something kinda cool last night while bringing up this thread on my phone.
Zooming in so that all your screens fit exactly on my phone allows me to see exactly how they'd look on MY phone, in MY hand. It totally helps me see everyone's work in a new and better light. Something I saw on my PC that looked "ok" looked pretty damned cool on my phone is what I'm sayin'.
If this is like a "Duh!" kind of thing, feel free to pelt me with cold cuts and call me a n00b.
haha^ I actually found that out about 3 months ago iirc also, but I duno if anyone else really tried it out when I posted about it.
It definitely gave me a new perspective on peoples layouts. Some of them when I looked on the phone looked 32342times better than just a screenshot on here.
How do you get these icons to work with the gingerbread versions of MIUI. I found the theme, its SWG no rounded corners, but it was discontinued and when I apply the theme it doesn't appear to work. Any help would be appreciated.
I am using MIUI 1.4.30, whatever the latest version is.
Hey suprafreak I think I found out why it isn't working because I don't have the latest version of MIUI. I know that this probable isn't the place to ask and I apologize for it but nobody else will respond to me. Is there any way that I could update/flash to the newest version without losing everything? If so and it weren't through ROM Manager how would I do it?
I appreciate the help from anyone and helping learn more about it.
Ok, I'm not thrilled with this one, but I worked so long on it, I have to like, use it. And show it. It's ok I guess, but outside in the daylight, I couldn't see squat, so I had to add some color and some flames to my burnt-out pad. (My poor porn collection...melted.)
Some of the changes/additions are obvious, but some aren't. There used to be two little kids standing in the middle of the place. Of course all the flames and smoke are added. The chair and the books on the right are added. That room way in the back was added. The TV and the VCR(ish) machine below it are added. The ashy skeleton was added. He launches the People app!
And to give you an idea of of what's involved with these image mappy type things I do (thanks to SSN!), here's what it looked like before I started adding actual functionality.
Speaking of wallpaper, here's the post renovations version of my current layout. I got some toggle/settings stuff up on the wall, painted over the previous mess and put a column with mic on it (less of a mess?) and the original dead plant action from the room. Oh! I added a palm tree outside in case y'all don't know where I'm at.
Yeah, instead of removing the dropbox from the stairs, I kept it and tossed in a Market icon.
I've got some prints in my room from a pretty cool artist, Walter Valentini. I hit the motherload of his work when I found Walter Valentini. These screens are of some of his work, slightly modified by me to fit and all that. Tough to choose from like 30 pieces. I'll be cycling through them for a while, adding and subtracting widgets and icons and such. Some widgets (like Reload Media and All Apps Folders) are hidden in the center of circles.
Lockscreen:
Beautiful Weather
Circle Battery (practically made to be on this work)
SwitchPro Wifi Toggle
SMS Unread Count
SanjaClock (also a nice fit on this work)
Custom Valentini Widgetlocker Slider
The dock background is just an image, u can change it by going to the settings, themes preferences, then changing the main dock to a custom image( assuming you're on the newest ADW update) older versions had it located in a different menu in the settings.
