I installed ApeX 2-0 RC2 today and decided to port BWC for it :D

I thought it was going to be time consuming, but it was a lot quicker than I thought.

I replaced the Music.apk with the Music.apk from stock GB that myself and Kirbnite collaborated to invert; I did this because the stock GB Music.apk offers lock screen controls as you will see in the screenshots.

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, but if you guys catch something let me know so I can get on it and correct it.

You guys know the usual disclaimers about "you" being responsible for your own phone, etc.

MUST READ before installing:

Check to see if your Market has been updated to v2.3.6. Go to Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage applications, select the "All" tab and scroll to the market. Select "Market", and if it shows you are on v2.3.6, uninstall the update before proceeding to install the theme, otherwise your market will force close and will only be fixed by flashing your backup.

You might want to freeze/rename your MarketUpdater.apk so your Market won't update after uninstalling the update, or so it won't update your newly installed themed Market later on when a Market update is released, unless you want it to update :D

Is that the dialer that came with Apex? Looks like the blur one which I prefer over the aosp one I thought came with it. Also, I just installed the new swype keypad which is much improved. Will BWC theme the new one? TIA

No, it's AOSP dialer themed. I'll look to adding swype later or it can be done manually per Fabolous's instructions.

Again? When will he ever stop the madness?
Hopefully never! Im going to install this but we all know there is something new lurking about that once debugged we will be needing.... thats right....

Thanks again buddy!

ApeX is running pretty damn great, no more home screen redraws when exiting the browser, that was the most annoying thing from stock GB on my phone.

I will probably get the evil eye for what I'm about to say, but I think CM for DX is a bit late in the game. I don't see what it will provide for me that I can't get from ApeX (the new GummyJar) since the bootloader is still locked on the X.

I see CM as another source of customization, like another ROM. But I guess I will find out when I actually try it.

Nothing but respect for cvpcs and all the work he's done.

With that said, I will still try CM, but I think I'll wait until the kinks are worked out :D

Yeah, I figured some people would still be using ApeX, seeing how everyone is jumping to CM ;)

+1 I'm also holding off on CM until some of the bugs are worked out like camera & gps functions to name a couple showstoppers for me atm. But props to that team for getting it as far as they have and it's initial beta.

Thanks again for the great theme port to Apex!

I seem to have an issue possibly after the Accounts fix, not sure if it existed before to be honest. I go into my app drawer and can't find "My Accounts" anywhere. Any clues?

On a side note I was able to add another gmail account through the Gmail app.

I don't remember if it was in App Drawer or not. I guess I will have to re-apply stock ApeX 2.0 and find out.

Go into Menu>Settings>Accounts & sync and you should see your accounts.

It's not there in stock ApeX either.

Damn it, I'm going to drop kick you LaZer for making me go back to stock.....lol :p;):D

lol sorries! :D I could have sworn it was in there and that Fab even said had to use it to set google accounts or something. Maybe he meant the one in settings. Oh well at least we know its not a buglet with your theme now. I keep losing track of how I did what and I only know about enough of this jazz so far to be dangerous so lookout when I post something!

/lazer runs to hide!
