Root and ROM section (ATTN ADMINS)

So as a former Big Board Forum Admin, I would like to throw out a suggestion to the Administration of this board. Can we create a sub section in the HTC Hero Sprint section for Rooting and ROMs. There are SO many active threads in here about Rooting and ROM and no longer is the stickys able to hold them in. There needs to be a section dedicated to it and it really should be device specific (note why I say subsection under here).

I will say, due to the overwhelming amount of posts, I rooted my phone and installed a ROM and kernel and love it and now feel like I can be more apart of these conversations. I will however say, to those that have not rooted, this section is not very easy to read through because its flooded with these.

All in favor of this, please post why you are in favor and any other suggestions you have for it. If you are not in favor, please post why and what solution (if any) you may have.

Agreed. Please start a RUMOR forum while you are at it. That way all these people who swear a new phone is coming to Sprint all because they read it on some random tech blog or the Sprint guy at the local mall told them so will have a place to fantasize.

But the consensus was not at all shot down. It received just as much support. A search button is helpful for finding a specific topic, but when browsing the forum for relevant information that might interest you, the search button is irrelevant. With the dearth of information on rooting, it is hard to browse topics that are relevant to those of us not interested in rooting.

"shot down" might have been too strong of a phrase on my part lol. It's not a bad idea by any means, I just don't think enough people would bother using it. Threads would constantly be getting moved.

I mean, we can't even get people to use the search function now, why would they enter another subforum to use just for questions about rooting?
