As usual, these are update.zip format. Rename to update.zip, place on root of sdcard, and install (don't forget to 'allow').

My advice to you, in selecting a kernel, is to #1 try the lowV varieties first. Then select the slowest kernel that exceeds what you expect to run on a day to day basis. So if you plan on running 800-1000, run the 1.0lv kernel.

If for some reason you get stuck on the 'M' while booting, first try switching to the mediumV kernel. If that does not work, back the speed down, say from 1.25 to 1.2, or 1.2, to 1.1, etc.

5-slot Low Voltage

1.0Ghz (125/250/550/800/1000)
1.1Ghz (125/250/550/800/1100)
1.2Ghz (125/250/550/800/1200)
1.25Ghz (125/250/550/800/1250)

5-slot Medium Voltage

1.0Ghz (125/250/550/800/1000)
1.1Ghz (125/250/550/800/1100)
1.2Ghz (125/250/550/800/1200)
1.25Ghz (125/250/550/800/1250)

7-slot Low Voltage

1.0Ghz (125/250/550/700/800/900/1000)
1.1Ghz (125/250/550/800/900/1000/1100)
1.2Ghz (125/250/550/800/1000/1100/1200)
1.25Ghz (125/250/550/800/1000/1100/1250)

7-slot Medium Voltage

1.0Ghz (125/250/550/700/800/900/1000)
1.1Ghz (125/250/550/800/900/1000/1100)
1.2Ghz (125/250/550/800/1000/1100/1200)
1.25Ghz (125/250/550/800/1000/1100/1250)

Chevy, thanks so much for these 7-slot kernels. The MV 1.2Ghz 7-slot is working great for me. For whatever reason, my Droid doesn't like any of the LV kernels. Your LV 7-slot ran unbelievably cool, even pushing it hard, but after a few minutes, the resets started. The MV runs almost as cool, but doesn't cause any FCs or resets or other problems that I've been able to find. Thanks again!!

I think this broke my wifi, it won't connect anymore. Should I try another tiwlan_drv.ko file?

Also can I open this with a hex editor and change where the slots are? I love a I'd rather 350, 450, instead of 125 and 250. Thanks!

Good to hear the reboot cleared it up - no on the hex editor - it is compiled into the kernel and cannot be modified - I may rebuild other versions of the kernel with at least the 125 replaced by another slot

Glad to hear the MV worked for you - I figure about 10% of the population seem to experience similar issues to yours, or they get stuck on the 'M'.

Thanks for all the replies! Stinks about the kernel not being easily edited, but I guess that's why there isn't 40 thousand kernels out there like there are roms!
